When you’re proud of what you do, you want to share it with others. So share we did at our recent Open House on October 17th at our headquarters here in El Cajon.
From 2:30 – 6:00 p.m. (and beyond) we entertained a guest list that included architects, contractors, material suppliers and more, all while showcasing both our main office as well as the new 16,500 square foot addition next door – which has increased our total footprint to a robust 62,500 square feet of fabricating capabilities.
In addition to the typical mingling and mixing you’d expect at an event like this, we also led guests on tours of the shop floor – taking small groups through the use of equipment such as our Trespa cutter, automated panel forming center, laser cutting system and more. (All while safely donned in safety glasses to keep our safety record intact, of course.)
Beyond highlighting our many metal services such as cladding, it was an opportunity to showcase several offerings that attendees might not be as familiar with – from materials like Trespa and Equitone, to services like our beautiful handrails and guardrails.
Through it all, guests enjoyed the delicious homemade concoctions of Nutmeg Bakery and Cafe, as well as mixed drinks and craft brews served by San Diego’s own Tap Trucks mobile bar service.
And since no such event would be complete without a little toe-tapping music, the upbeat sounds of local band The Rockin Robin All Star Band (featuring our very own Board of Directors member Robin Hoffos!) provided a fitting soundtrack for the event.
All in all, it was a fun way to get to know our audience while showing off a little bit of what sets CSM apart. And a way to show that just like sheet metal, a party can also benefit from a little Craftsmanship, Built To Scale.
