The rich, deep texture of faux zinc panels brings a softness and earthy feel to the vast spread of buildings making up the campus headquarters. These panels expand and contract with the intense heat of the inland San Diego sun, create a psychological cooling effect within the large courtyards of the buildings. The use of custom railing throughout the building’s stairwells and walkthroughs further create a sophisticated and modern look that matches the high-tech proceedings inside the building. The railings look is matched in the patios on the backside of the building that look out into native plant gardens.
