CSM took on a significant project at the Museum of Contemporary Arts in La Jolla, involving the fabrication and installation of various handrails, window flashes, copings, and a roof hatch. Despite supply chain challenges caused by the pandemic, our team showcased exceptional craftsmanship and professionalism.
The museum’s stairs were adorned with unique blackened stainless-steel handrails, adding a touch of sophistication. Glass handrails with ⅜’ laminated glass provided transparency and durability on the first floor, while the second level boasted a sleek 1 ¼’ tube wall mount handrail. The third floor featured a blackened stainless-steel handrail with ⅜’ low iron laminated glass. Additionally, a beautifully crafted radius glass handrail gracefully wrapped around the building.
In addition to the handrails, our team fabricated window flashes, copings, and a 36′ x 36′ roof hatch with a safety rail. Despite facing supply chain disruptions, we successfully coordinated with Terra Core in Italy to source silver Italian travertine for a stone cladding rain system. The travertine slabs were transformed into exquisite wall panels, adding elegance to the project’s design.
Throughout the museum project, CSM demonstrated unwavering dedication and meticulous attention to detail. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, our team successfully delivered exceptional results. If you have any inquiries about this project or would like to discuss your upcoming projects, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are eager to collaborate with you and bring your vision to life.
