California Sheet Metal (CSM) delivered comprehensive exterior architectural metalwork for the Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center, a massive 2,000,000-square-foot hospitality development on the Chula Vista Bayfront. The project scope included coordinating multi-building installations of exterior panel systems, fiber cement panels, custom canopies, and extensive flashing.
Architectural Panel & Façade Systems
CSM furnished and installed both formed and composite metal wall panels throughout the property, including a standout 5,000- square foot architectural equipment screen to hide and protect MEP equipment. To ensure long-term performance against strict coastal durability standards, the CSM team integrated air and water barriers, sub-framing, and high-performance finishes to deliver a weathertight enclosure.
Engineered Canopies & Specialty Systems
Taking on significant delegated design responsibilities, CSM engineered, fabricated, and installed multiple turn-key canopy assemblies, including structures for the pool and fitness terraces. The scope also required precision fabrication precisely fabricated stainless steel cable railings and interior atrium handrails with pod lighting specifically designed for a luxury resort environment.
