The BLVD North Park Apartments are part of a truly one-of-a-kind community. And they called for a visual statement to match. Working in partnership with the MC Group and Crane Development, California Sheet Metal crafted a striking statement piece as unique and bold as the neighborhood itself. A series of .125” aluminum panels were first modeled in Solidworks, then cut on laser to create the 35-foot tall, three-dimestional letters. A custom orbital grain and clear coat finish provided a sleek, contemporary look that perfectly complemented the surrounding structure. To allow for the scale of the letters, we also custom-designed a series of subframe clips that helped to significantly simplify the panel-mounting process. The result is a show-stopping addition to a community already known for being an avant-garde hotspot.
